Moreland Schools

This course is an introductory course to Computer Science. We will be using Scratch to code. With Scratch programming, students use a block-based programming language to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations – and, in the process, learn important computational concepts and problem-solving strategies. Together we will create interactive projects in music, movie making, game design, storytelling, art, or any subject area they are passionate about.

Este curso es un curso de introducción a la informática. Usaremos Scratch para codificar. Con la programación Scratch, los estudiantes usan un lenguaje de programación basado en bloques para crear sus propias historias, juegos y animaciones interactivas y, en el proceso, aprenden conceptos computacionales importantes y estrategias de resolución de problemas. Juntos crearemos proyectos interactivos en música, creación de películas, diseño de juegos, narración de cuentos, arte o cualquier área que les apasione.

Please note: You are registering your child for the waitlist. If you child is selected to participate in the class, their name and information will be moved from the wait list to the class roster. You will be notified if your child is placed in this class. A saved method of payment must be saved to your Eleyo profile. If a method of payment is not saved, your child's enrollment will be forfeited. 

There is no cost to register for the waitlist. If your child is selected for the class, your card on file will be charged the class fee of $130.
